Whether it be in Canada or around the world, every aspect from lack of resources, poverty and poor education can affect an entire global future for young women.
Because I Am A Girl (BIAAG) is a global charity making people aware about the issues at hand for young girls throughout the world including poverty and inequality which is an unfortunate reality for a lot of young people especially girls around the world.
Plan Canada in support of BIAAGs 2009 report is going to be filming a documentry across Canada interviewing teens and tween girls about their lives and influences they have on the world today. The documentry is to be released in spring 2010.
This campaign is important to make our next generation of girls aware that women do have power and investing in girls can bring an entire nation out of poverty.
The filming will be taking place across Canada and the crew will be in OTTAWA on October 2nd to October 5th.
Filming locations are:
• Saturday, October 3rd – Rideau Centre 12-2pm
More dates will be as they come to me.
The Crew will also be blogging about their filming adventure across Canada and you can follow them too at http://blog.becauseiamagirl.ca
Come out and support the girls of our nation by attending the events in your community. Spread the word among your own network, friends and family to become involved with the BIAAG campaign and help achieve positive social change around the globe!
