We are half way through January and already we are starting to think up what we are going to be doing to the back yard this year, what kind of improvements we can make around the home etc. After all, Spring is a new season of change! We usually can come up with ideas easily, hubby is very creative when it comes to landscaping and interior decorating, he hasn’t let me down yet! He has a knack for anything like that and I know he would really enjoy checking out some new ideas for inspiration!
An exciting event is coming back to the Capital this year, The Ottawa Home and Garden Show presented by Remax! We have never been to The Ottawa Home and Garden Show but have seen highlights online and on tv, definitely an event that we would both enjoy – a day out together as well as getting some ideas on whats out there when it comes to decorating the home and yard!
The Home and Garden Show has been providing renovating, decorating and landscaping ideas for over 30 years and is the longest running home show in Ottawa.
From March 24th through 27th The Ottawa Home and Garden show will take place at Lansdowne park and Bank Street. Tickets can be purchased at the box office or online and prices aren’t bad, adults 12$, seniors/youth 10$ and children under 12 have free admission plus if you buy tickets online you save 3$!
There are so many things going on from showings to food to competitions to experts Q&A! Some Highlights of the show are of course prestigious home showings by IDEKIT Eco Home and Bonneville Homes, The Dream Garden presented by Davis Landscape, the Foodie marketplace and so much more. There is a celebrity line up including Bryan Baeumler from HGTV’s Disaster DIY as well as culinary demonstrations by local chefs! For the third year in a row the Children’s Wish Foundation will be on site collection donations and selling tulips/bulbs for the Children’s Wish Tulip sale as well. For more information on what exciting events will be happening during the Ottawa Home and Garden Show and to buy tickets please visit www.ottawahomeshow.com
If we do end up going, I will definitely be writing a follow-up review post to tell you first-hand how it was!
