Swiss Chalet Family Day Dinner

23 Feb

Monday, February 21st was Family Day here in Ontario and as I mentioned in my previous post, we celebrated together doing things at home like watching movies, playing games and just being together ending our day with a special family dinner courtesy of Swiss Chalet and EverythingMom!

Busy schedules often find us trying to cut out that special time of the day to spend with family, reconnect and just enjoy each others company, even just for a few minutes. When I was growing up we shared these moments at dinner time, something we want to pass on to our children as well. There’s nothing like listening to each other’s day over a healthy, hearty, home-cooked meal.

Family Day was the perfect day to try out Swiss Chalet’s online order system and be treated to a delicious, nutritious family meal. It was very simple to navigate their website, all you have to do as a new ordering customer is add your information where asked and you’re good to go. The menu is downloadable which made it easier, we were able to look at the menu before venturing into the ordering process, just in case a mistake was made along the way.

Within minutes we had our meal ordered, we decided to go with the Family Pack including some deserts too, things that we don‘t have every day. Once the total was given we were prompted for a method of payment and we of course chose the gift code option. After entering the code we were brought to a thank you page which said our food was guaranteed to be at our house by 5:17pm that evening. Impressively enough, it was here 20 minutes earlier than they said it would be. Which was really nice because after looking at the menu and surfing the site, we were really hungry! The delivery guy was super polite and quick. I like that delivery is part of the charge so you don’t have to worry about finding change to cover a driver tip!

We set up the table and sat down together, our family day complete with a yummy and convenient meal from Swiss Chalet! The food itself was great, we all loved the rotisserie chicken. The kids especially liked the vegetable medley and Chalet sauce! It was a fun (and yummy) experience, considering we have never ordered from Swiss Chalet before, it is definitely a quick, easy and delicious way to get the family together at the dinner table!

Thank you to EverythingMom and Swiss Chalet for choosing us and making our family day, as our little girl said, “The best family day ever!” – especially since mom didn’t have to do the dinner dishes afterward!

We enjoyed our Swiss Chalet dinner and there is a chance you can enjoy too! EverythingMom is having a chat on their site about family dinners and the best part is that everyone who participates is entered for a chance to win one of two $50 Swiss Chalet gift cards! Click here to join the conversation and get in on your chance to win!

Nice! When I was little, our family used to go to Swiss Chalet for special occasions – birthdays, anniversaries and other special celebration. It was always such a treat and reminds me of all those times spent with Mom, Dad and my brother.

I love when things get delivered early too, especially food. So glad the online ordering went well. Thanks for participating in our program.
