Canada Science and Technology Museums memberships

07 Mar

Museums are fun and educational ways to spend some quality family time together. A great afternoon spent checking out exhibits, getting lunch and taking a browse at the gift shop. I remember visiting various museums as a child. I always found history interesting especially the Canadian history on display at some of our most important museums right here in the heart of the Capital.

Established in 1990,The National museum of Science and Technology, now known as the Canada Science and Technology Museums corporation (CSTMC), operates three of our favourite museums – the Canada Agriculture Museum at the Central Experimental Farm, the Canada Aviation and Space Museum at the Rockcliffe Airport and the Canada Science and Technology Museum on St. Laurent Boulevard here in Ottawa. The museums showcase Canada’s history through exhibitions, activities and events at all locations.

The Canada Agriculture Museum focuses on showing people the importance of everyday life of agricultural science and technology both historical and current times.

The Canada Aviation and Space Museum showcases Canada’s aviation heritage. From as far back as the pioneer age up to the modern age, amazing exhibits telling the story of humankind’s ancient dream of flight and the significant part played by none other than Canadian people.

The Canada Science and Technology Museum celebrates Canadian scientific and technical innovations over the course of our Canadian history. They showcase interactive exhibitions, programs and explore how these innovations impact society, discovering and learning in a hands-on way.

CSTMC has a great membership program that allows you to take advantage with more to explore, three museums, one card. It’s a great way for families to enjoy all the exhibitions and activities taking place at the three Museums as often as you like. Also, it’s a cost efficient way to explore and discover Canada’s finest historical Museums all year-long for less the cost of individual visits.

My family could benefit since we are history and technology buffs and we love visiting museums. We especially love visiting them with our nephew because his joy and unlimited questions truly help us open our own minds as adults in an effort to re-engage with that all-encompassing and innocent curiosity that can sometimes seem so difficult to access. So the kids get to learn and have fun and we get to learn to be kids all over again and explore all that the museums have to offer.

What a cool and generous giveaway. Thank you. πŸ™‚

My family would benefit due that we have a one income household, and going to museums with a family of 4, is not in the budget. So this would be great for them to experience.

My family would benefit for a pass as we are out of town and to drive there with the gas prices and then pay the full day price is pretty expensive. My children do love the museums though!

I already have a two year membership but I would LOVE to win this for my sister in law. My daughter and I go to one of the museums nearly every day (on Friday we went to all three!) so we’re very familiar with how awesome it is to be able to go for free.

All three are free after 4pm though, which is great if you live close by or are otherwise in the area!

Museums are fantastic! Great learning experiences and you don’t even realise you are doing it! Brilliant memories of school visits and visits with my family which I’m now sharing with my own family.
